How Minkzy came to be
Recently we entered a magical stage where friends and family began welcoming amazing new little ones into their lives. Each of these little people are so incredible that it seemed only right to receive them with something unique. Since large department stores do not inspire me, I tried my hand at making something personal…one something turned into another, friends started buying for one another and Minkzy Creations was born.
Products
Growing up my mom referred to an iron as "a four letter word" - one we were not allowed to use. Thanks to that experience, Minkzy products lean toward materials that will hold up well and don’t require a lot of fuss when it comes time to wash them. All our products are pre-washed with hypo-allergenic detergent and most can be tossed in with everyday laundry again and again.
Our products are colorful, soft and have some character. Even better, we make all our products on site in our Seattle studio. Our goal is to capture fabrics that connect with the person giving the gift as much as the parents to be. If you see an item in a package that you want to mix and match, give us a call. Likewise, if you’re looking for a particular theme or want to create an original package, please ask – chances are we can make what you’re looking for. Custom orders generally take 7 days to prepare.
Packaging & Shipping
Our goal is to create a package that’s fun to open, but won’t leave you feeling guilty about the waste. Complementary gift wrapping is offered with all packages. If you’re ordering locally, we wrap our products in colorful tissue and nestle them inside a 100% post consumer recyclable Kraft box with 3” gift wrap and a bow around the middle. Packages include a blank gift card.
We also ship packages nationwide. Products are wrapped in colorful tissue and enclosed in a white corrugated shipping box with a lively address label and ribbon. Feel free to type a personal message to the gift recipient when ordering and we’ll hand write it on the gift card. You can also specify a shipping date during the order process to coordinate its arrival with a special day.
Orders
Online purchases are run through PayPal. If you are purchasing a package to ship, go through the payment process and on the last page choose to “add” another shipping address – your package will be mailed there. We ship Priority Mail through the US Post Office which means your order will typically arrive within 3 days.
If you want to schedule a local pick up or drop off, please note that in the “special instructions to seller” and we’ll refund the shipping charge. If you live in the Seattle area and would like to drop by our studio to create your own package or schedule a pick up, please contact us.
